To play live poker games, you’ll need to create your Betano account. Do this by clicking “Sign Up” at the top of this page, following the prompts, and completing the simple registration form.  

You can then make your first deposit to fund your gameplay, and you’ll need to decide how much to wager per round. The minimum accepted ante bet in Casino Stud Poker is £0.50, and you may need to wait for the current game to end before joining.  

When the betting window opens, place your chips on the table to play. This poker game is played with a standard 52-deck of cards, pre-shuffled.  

You’ll then receive five cards face up. The dealer will put five cards in front of themselves, one face up, and the rest face down.  

At this stage, you have the following options: call (place another bet to continue playing) or fold (end the game and lose your ante bet). Alternatively, you can place the blind call bet (2x) before the cards are dealt, which means you’ll automatically see the game through to a conclusion. 

If you call, the game continues, and the dealer reveals their cards. They must have an ace and a king to qualify. A win evaluation will then occur, and you’ll receive a payout if you have a better five-card poker hand than the dealer, as per the hand rankings below.

Here are the hand rankings in Casino Stud Poker in descending order:  

• Royal flush = an ace-high straight of a single suit  
• Straight flush = a straight of a single suit  
• Four of a kind = four cards of the same rank  
• Full house = three of a kind and a pair  
• Flush = five cards of the same suit  
• Straight = five cards of sequential rank  
• Three of a kind = three cards of the same rank  
• Two pairs = two cards of the same rank and another two cards of the same rank  
• Pair = two cards of the same rank  
• High card = the highest card in the hand 

If the dealer doesn’t qualify, your ante bet pays 1:1, and your call bet is returned. If the dealer qualifies and you win, your ante bet pays 1:1, and the call bet pays out as per the following table:

This side bet considers your five cards and the dealer’s up card. You’ll win if you create a five-card poker hand of three of a kind or better, and it pays out as follows:
