The game is played with a standard 52-card deck and begins with two cards for you, two for the dealer, and three community cards dealt face up. The turn and the river will follow when the dealer adds two more cards to the middle of the table.   

The aim is simple: beat the dealer with the best possible five-card poker hand to bag a payout. It’s a simplified version of Texas Hold’em, letting you enjoy poker without worrying about what other players at the table might have in their hands.

Then, when the betting window opens, you’ll need to decide how much to wager. The minimum accepted bet in this game is £0.50, and you’ll need to place your chips on the ante spot to get going. There’s also a bonus spot for an optional side bet, which we introduce below.  

After placing your ante bet, the host will deal two face-up cards to you and two face-down to the dealer. Three community cards are then added to the centre of the table.  

At this stage, you must decide whether to play (2x) or fold. Folding means you walk away from the hand and forfeit your ante bet. Playing costs double the ante and will progress the game.  

If you play, the dealer will then add two more cards to the table (the turn and the river) before revealing their two cards.  

A win evaluation will then occur, and you will win if you beat the dealer with a ranking poker hand, revealed below.

Here are the hand rankings, from best to worst:  

• Royal Flush = A straight flush consisting of ace, king, queen, jack, and 10 of the same suit. 
• Straight Flush = A hand that has five cards in sequence, all of the same suit (e.g., 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 of hearts). 
• Four of a Kind = All four cards of one rank (e.g., four jacks) plus any other card. 
• Full House = A hand with three matching cards of one rank (e.g., three sixes) and two matching cards of another (e.g., two tens). 
• Flush = A hand where all five cards are the same suit (e.g., 10, 7, 6, 3, 2 of spades). 
• Straight = A hand with five cards in sequential rank of any suit (e.g., 10, 9, 8 of hearts, 7, 6 of clubs). 
• Three of a Kind = Three cards of the same rank (e.g., three kings). 
• Two Pairs = A hand with two pairs (e.g., a pair of aces and a pair of fives). 
• One Pair = A hand with one pair (e.g., a pair of eights). 
• High Card = No ranked hand is made, so the winner is the one with the highest single card.  

The dealer must have a pair of fours to qualify for the game. If they do, the outcome is determined by considering yours and the dealer’s best possible five-card poker hand.

Casino Hold’em Bonus Bet  

In addition to the ante bet, you can place a bonus bet at the Casino Hold’em table. This optional side bet pays out for a pair of aces or higher.  

The advantage of placing this wager alongside the ante is that you can access higher payouts. For instance, a bonus bet on a straight flush pays 50:1, while the same hand with the ante bet pays 20:1.
