Can Brentford preserve their Premier League status under new management? Bet on the Bees in the post-Thomas Frank era at Betano.
Brentford Betting Odds
Thomas Frank worked wonders in the Brentford dugout and deserves respect for keeping them in the English Premier League. In the summer, the talented Danish manager moved across the capital to North London, taking the vacant Spurs job after Ange Postecoglou was sacked.
The club decided to appoint from within, promoting Keith Andrews to the position of head coach, which many outsiders consider risky. The former Ireland international has no managerial experience and has huge boots to fill as he looks to steer Brentford to another successful Premier League season.
You can bet on Brentford throughout Keith Andrews’ first stint in charge. Back the Bees to finish in the top half or bet on them to go down at Betano Sportsbook. Discover the latest and best Brentford odds below.
Brentford EPL Odds
Brentford are not one of the favourites to go down this season, but we think they will struggle this campaign. You can back the Bees to finish bottom of the pile at the end of the 2024/25 season at odds of 14/1*. Perhaps more realistically is a bet on Brentford to drop into the Championship via the bottom three places at 10/3*.
If you’re an optimistic Bees fan, several other markets might take your fancy. For instance, you can back your team to finish in the top ten at odds of 3/1*.
Brentford’s pre-season odds reflect that anything could happen in West London this campaign, and their success is very much riding on the future of their big stars, which is yet to be resolved.
Brentford 2024/25 Performance Review
Brentford have well and truly established themselves as a mid-table Premier League side, evidenced by their tenth-placed finish in the 2024/25 season.
They bagged 56 points in an impressive campaign, their second-highest ever points total in the top flight, just short of the 59 points they won in the 2022/23 English Premier League season.
Brentford were inconsistent in the first half of the season, struggling to put any meaningful form together. They would secure an impressive victory, only to lose or draw their next few games, unable to build momentum.
However, things changed for the better following their 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United at St James’ Park on April 2nd. The Bees went on a six-match unbeaten run, winning four of their next games to secure their top-half finish.
While many wondered how Brentford would replace Ivan Toney, the performances of Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa answered all questions about the potency of Brentford’s front line.
Mbeumo bagged 20 league goals, while Wissa managed 20 in all competitions. The pair were electric at times, and it’s no surprise that several top Premier League clubs are chasing their signatures.
At the time of writing, they both remain Brentford players, but Mbeumo is pushing for a move to Manchester United, while Wissa may end up at Tottenham with his former manager keen on securing his services.
If Brentford lose Wissa and Mbeumo, they will struggle this season. After all, it’s not easy to replace 40 goals in one transfer window, so a lot will depend on whether Brentford can keep their star men and, if not, what they do to replace them.
Brentford Transfer News
Brentford aren’t yet finished in their transfer dealings for the 2025/26 season, and we expect Mbeumo to secure his much-anticipated move to Old Trafford. It will be the second consecutive season that Brentford have parted ways with their top scorer, following Toney’s mega transfer to Al-Ahli last summer.
Despite all the speculation surrounding Brentford’s star man, the club were busy in the summer transfer market. They sold goalkeeper Mark Flekken to Bayer Leverkusen and let Christian Nørgaard join Arsenal in a deal worth over £10 million.
As for incomings, the arrival of Antoni Milambo from Feyenoord has excited Bees fans. The Dutch under-21 international signed for the club in a deal worth around £16 million, and many hope that he can kick on after several impressive break-out seasons in the Eredivisie.
Another big transfer saw the arrival of Michael Kayode from Fiorentina. Another under-21 international, Kayode represents Italy and was highly sought after in Serie A.
The other main incoming at Brentford was in the goalkeeper department, with Caoimhín Kelleher leaving Anfield to become the Bees’ number one. The Ireland star has proven that he’s more than capable at this level and could be a shrewd piece of business by the London club following Flekken's departure to the Bundesliga.
Here’s an overview of the main Brentford transfers at the time of writing:
Main Incomings
- Antoni Milambo (Feyenoord)
- Michael Kayode (Fiorentina)
- Caoimhín Kelleher (Liverpool)
- Romelle Donovan (Birmingham City)
Main Outgoings
- Christian Nørgaard (Arsenal)
- Mark Flekken (Bayer Leverkusen)
- Ben Mee (Released)
- Josh Dasilva (Released)
