2027 US Open Betting Markets & Odds

The last time the US Open came to Pebble Beach, Gary Woodland was the man celebrating beside the eighteenth green. Eight years on, the championship returns to the Californian coast with Wyndham Clark holding the trophy after his second victory, at Shinnecock Hills in 2026. Find the available US Open odds in Betano’s golf betting section and follow the build-up to the next contest for America’s national championship.

When and Where Is the 2027 US Open?

Thursday 17 June is the opening day, with the final round due on Sunday 20 June at Pebble Beach Golf Links. Players will have practice earlier in the week, which begins on Monday 14 June.

For the championship’s 127th edition, we are going back to a venue with six men’s US Opens behind it. Woodland’s 13-under total won the last of them in 2019. Nicklaus, Watson, Kite, Woods and McDowell also have their names on the trophy from visits here.

Watch those old rounds for a feel for the holes, then allow for what has changed. The score that won one June afternoon tells you little about what will be enough in different weather or against different pin positions.

Who Is Favourite to Win the 2027 US Open?

Open Betano’s listing on 28 October 2026 and Scottie Scheffler is the first name, followed by Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm. Xander Schauffele and Tommy Fleetwood are also towards the front of the betting. There is still a long run of tournaments between those early prices and the first competitive shot at Pebble Beach.

The Early Contenders

McIlroy has a US Open win from Congressional in 2011; Rahm earned his at Torrey Pines a decade later. You can use those performances as part of their major records, but the shots that brought them success there will not all be the ones required here.

Wyndham Clark’s Title Defence

Clark opened the 2026 championship with a 64 and led after every round. Sunday was less straightforward. He needed all of the earlier advantage when a closing 73 left him just a stroke clear of Burns. Clark finished on four under, with Burns’ Sunday 67 bringing him close to forcing extra holes.

It added a second US Open trophy to Clark’s 2023 victory at Los Angeles Country Club. Defending at Pebble Beach means adapting again, rather than repeating a plan for Shinnecock Hills. His latest form will matter alongside what he learned from those two wins.

US Open Betting Markets

Outright Winner

An outright selection backs the golfer who will become champion. It follows the result of the tournament, including a playoff if one is required. Leading after Friday’s round or finishing second on Sunday will not settle the win bet successfully.

Before placing an early selection, read the participation and withdrawal conditions. A name in an ante-post market should not be treated as a guarantee that the golfer will start.

Each-Way Betting

Betano’s current 2027 US Open market is labelled “E/W 1/5 5 Places”. The place half covers five positions at a fifth of the win price. Have a look at that label again when you reach the slip, particularly if you first researched the bet some time earlier.

Remember to account for both stakes. Putting on £5 each-way means spending £10: £5 towards a win and £5 towards a qualifying place. A runner-up finish leaves the win bet unsuccessful, although you may still receive something from the place bet.

For an illustration, take 30/1 at one-fifth place odds. The place price becomes 6/1. A £5 place stake would return £35, including that stake, if it qualified without a dead heat. These figures explain the calculation rather than quote a particular golfer’s current price.

Shared positions need care. Several golfers tying at the edge of the advertised places can bring dead-heat rules into play. The return may then be calculated using only part of your stake, rather than the full place amount.

First-Round Leader

Where offered, a first-round leader selection concerns the lowest score in Thursday’s round. Somebody who starts quickly can win this market without remaining a contender by Sunday.

The tee sheet and forecast may be relevant once both are available. See whether the forecast actually gives you a reason to prefer one start time. Being in the morning wave is not an advantage by itself, and any expected difference in conditions may already be reflected in the odds.

Top Finishes and Player Comparisons

Additional markets may be available nearer the championship. With a top-ten bet, you are following somebody’s progress towards that particular position. Group bets work differently: the two-ball or three-ball listing names the opponents your golfer needs to outscore.

Check where that contest stops. It might last Thursday’s round, or you may have opened a matchup that runs through the tournament. Equal scores, missed cuts and withdrawals need a look in the relevant rules too.

How Does the US Open Work?

There are 156 places in the planned field. Some golfers enter through exemptions; others have to earn their way through qualifying. Eligible amateurs can take that route as well, giving this championship a different starting list from the professionals-only PGA Championship.

Once play starts, the strokes keep adding up across four rounds. The lowest total after 72 holes wins. First, though, Friday reduces the field: only the low 60 and ties after two rounds stay for the weekend. Remember that number if you have just been following a major with a different cut rule.

If the lead is shared after Sunday’s regulation play, a two-hole aggregate playoff follows. The strokes across both holes are added together. Should that leave players level, they continue hole by hole in sudden death. The old Monday 18-hole playoff is no longer the current format.

Pebble Beach: What Matters for US Open Betting?

Read the Championship Setup

Golf fans see Pebble Beach during the PGA Tour season too, but a result from that visit needs context before being carried into a US Open selection. The season, preparation and conditions can differ, even though the course name is the same.

The USGA’s preliminary 2027 guide lists a par-71 course of 7,124 yards, subject to change. Use the championship information as it is updated instead of relying entirely on a general resort scorecard.

Approaches and Missed Greens

Pay attention to where an approach finishes. Reaching a green and leaving the ball in a manageable position are not necessarily the same achievement. For someone missing their targets, watch the recovery shots they are being asked to play.

The Coastal Forecast

Keep the forecast for championship week on your research list. There is no sensible way to call a particular June afternoon’s wind from here in October. Nearer the event, you can assess whether conditions might favour one part of the draw or make certain holes harder to attack.

Recent US Open Winners

Clark’s 2026 title followed J.J. Spaun’s breakthrough at Oakmont. The recent winners have succeeded on a variety of courses, which is worth remembering before treating every US Open as the same test.

Year Winner Venue
2026 Wyndham Clark Shinnecock Hills
2025 J.J. Spaun Oakmont Country Club
2024 Bryson DeChambeau Pinehurst No. 2
2023 Wyndham Clark Los Angeles Country Club
2022 Matt Fitzpatrick The Country Club
2021 Jon Rahm Torrey Pines

Live US Open Betting

Selected championship markets may be available in Betano’s live betting area once play begins. Odds can change as players move around the course, and markets may be suspended while updates are processed.

A golfer who has finished has posted their score. The player a stroke ahead on the course has not finished the job yet. Check what remains before treating their lead as equivalent to a completed round, and allow for your pictures or score feed arriving behind the actual play.

How to Bet on the 2027 US Open at Betano

After signing in, go to Golf and open 2027 US Open. Pick the price beside the selection you want to back, then put your stake into the slip. Read it back before confirmation, including the year and the two-part cost if you have chosen each-way.

Joining for the first time means registering and completing the required account checks. Read the details of any promotion on the betting offers page before opting in. Set aside only what you are comfortable spending on the championship; a difficult round for your golfer is no reason to increase it.
