Penny Roulette is a classic European roulette table game in an RNG-driven video format with straightforward rules and low stakes, making it ideal for players looking to get into online table games.
With betting from just one penny per game round, it’s perfect for low-stakes players or if you want to test out some strategies before hitting the high roller tables. You can go at your own pace, place multiple bets per game round, and still enjoy generous wins for hitting straight-up bets.
To start playing Penny Roulette, log in to your Betano account and tap the game tile at the top of this page. If you don’t have an account, hit ‘sign up’ and enter your details as prompted to register. Remember that you must be at least 18 years old to gamble online, and ID verification will be required.
New signups are also eligible for our welcome bonus to score a wee boost to your balance. Visit our offers page for all the details and find out how to claim yours. You can also view our current promos for returning players to both our online casino and sportsbook.
When you’re ready to proceed, return to this page and hit the game tile to launch your session. The game environment is basic, with a green felt background and a 3D European roulette wheel split into 37 segments, numbered 0-36.
The game rules are simple: your objective is to correctly predict which pocket the ball will land in after the wheel has been spun, and bet accordingly. You can place multiple bets on a single game round, and bet on individual numbers (straight up bets) or groups of numbers.
To place a bet, choose your bet size from the virtual chips displayed, then tap the betting position/s you wish to cover with your chip. Once you have finished betting, hit the spin button to spin the wheel and find out if you’re a winner.
On the main roulette betting table, there are two types of bets: inside bets and outside bets. The names indicate their betting positions on the table, and the bets are grouped by risk level, with inside bets carrying greater risk and greater potential rewards.
Inside bets are either straight-up bets on single numbers or bets on small groups of numbers. These inside bets have a lower likelihood of winning and offer higher rewards.
The boxes around the outside of the table house a series of outside bets covering larger groups of numbers. These outside bets have lower risk and offer lower-value rewards. You can cover a mixture of inside and outside bets on a single game round, and use different-sized bets to spread your risk more evenly.
The paytable summarises the bets available on the main betting table and the payouts for winning the bet:

As a no-frills European rules roulette game, there are no special features except for the racetrack betting table, which is an alternative to the standard table offering more betting options beyond the standard inside and outside bets.
Click on the racetrack to bring it into view and use it to place bets. The racetrack table represents the order in which the numbers appear on the roulette wheel. This table layout lets you bet on numbers grouped by where they appear on the wheel, as well as on neighbour bets, which are straight-up bets on specific numbers and their neighbours to the left and right.
Aside from neighbour bets, the wheel is split into three segments covering number groupings you can bet on:
