Big Bass Return to the Races Symbols & Payouts
This instalment of the game goes off-track in terms of pay symbols, swapping out the usual fishing-themed premium symbols for items you’re more likely to find at the track, including binoculars, pints, picnics, and bottles of champagne on ice.
The fish money symbols are replaced by racehorses, which, like in previous titles, carry cash values that become activated in the game’s bonus round. The round is triggered by the scatter symbol, which in this game shows the fisherman riding a horse in his suit and tie.
To score payouts in the base game, you must match identical pay symbols on adjacent reels, starting with the leftmost reel, along one of the game’s 10 fixed paylines. The paytable below shows the payouts you can expect when playing with a £1.00 wager:

Big Bass Return to the Races Bonus Features
As with all games in this popular series, the free spins bonus is a flurry of activity that introduces fisherman wilds into the mix or, in this case, he’s suited and booted and holding his betting slips. Money symbols become active and can be collected by the wilds. Money symbols are racehorses and hold instant cash values between 2x and 5,000x.
Triggering the Bonus
The bonus is triggered by landing three or more scatter symbols anywhere in view on a base game spin. You will earn either 10, 15, or 20 free spins for 3, 4 or 5 triggering scatters. If you land only two scatters on a base game spin, sometimes a random feature will trigger to give you a second chance to land that third triggering scatter.
Before the round starts, 12 face-down playing cards appear on the screen. Pick one to determine the type of feature you get, either regular free spins or if you reveal a golden cup, a special Golden Cup Free Spins round is awarded.
Regular Free Spins
During the free spins bonus, when money symbols land at the same time as wild symbols, their values are collected and awarded. In addition, the wilds are collected in the progression meter above the reels. Every fourth wild collected will increase the win multiplier and award 10 additional free spins. First, the win multiplier rises to 2x, then 3x, and finally 10x. Afterwards, no further retriggers are possible.
Wild symbols also act as traditional wilds, substituting for regular pay symbols to help you complete paylines and earn rewards.
Golden Cup Free Spins
The Golden Cup free spins round is similar to regular free spins, but it is played on a modified reel set where the reels contain only money symbols, wilds, and blanks, so you have more chances of landing money symbols with wilds to earn rewards.
As with the regular free spins bonus above, wilds are collected in the progression meter with 2x, 3x, and 10x multipliers possible.
